KATHMANDU: Prof Dr Bishnuraj Tiwari has been assigned the responsibility of Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara University (PU) to carry out the daily administrative functions of the institution.

Tiwari, who was previously serving at the School of Health and Allied Sciences under Pokhara University, has been given the charge after the post of Vice-Chancellor remained vacant for several weeks.

According to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the decision was made at the Chancellor-level on May 13.

University Information Officer Loknath Dhakal confirmed the appointment. Dhakal also informed that Tiwari assumed office as Vice-Chancellor on Thursday.
