Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Office being reconstructed (Photo Feature)

KATHMANDU: Reconstruction work is underway on the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, which had suffered damage during the Gen Z protests on September 8 and 9, 2025.

The building, which was set on fire and vandalized during the demonstrations, is now being repaired as part of restoration efforts.

According to the photo feature, renovation works are in progress, including repainting, replacement of damaged windows and doors, and installation of air conditioning systems.

The reconstruction is being carried out under the government’s ‘Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund’ established to restore structures damaged during the protests.
