KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Monday).
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs. 153.25, while the selling rate stands at Rs. 153.85.
The buying rate for one Euro is Rs. 178.17 and the selling rate is Rs. 178.87. Similarly, the UK Pound Sterling has been fixed at Rs. 204.21 for buying and Rs. 205.01 for selling. The Swiss Franc is being traded at Rs. 194.71 for buying and Rs. 195.48 for selling.
Among other major currencies, the Australian Dollar has a buying rate of Rs. 109.58 and a selling rate of Rs. 110.01. The Canadian Dollar is priced at Rs. 111.46 for buying and Rs. 111.89 for selling, while the Singapore Dollar stands at Rs. 119.66 for buying and Rs. 120.13 for selling.
The exchange rate for 10 Japanese Yen has been fixed at Rs. 9.65 for buying and Rs. 9.69 for selling. The Chinese Yuan has a buying rate of Rs. 22.50 and a selling rate of Rs. 22.59. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian Riyal has been set at Rs. 40.84 for buying and Rs. 41.00 for selling, while the Qatari Riyal stands at Rs. 42.06 for buying and Rs. 42.23 for selling.
According to the central bank, the Thai Baht has been fixed at Rs. 4.69 for buying and Rs. 4.71 for selling. The UAE Dirham is valued at Rs. 41.72 for buying and Rs. 41.89 for selling. The Malaysian Ringgit has been set at Rs. 38.79 for buying and Rs. 38.94 for selling.
Similarly, 100 South Korean Won has a buying rate of Rs. 10.23 and a selling rate of Rs. 10.27. The Swedish Krona has been fixed at Rs. 16.22 for buying and Rs. 16.28 for selling, while the Danish Krone stands at Rs. 23.84 for buying and Rs. 23.93 for selling.
The central bank has also set the Hong Kong Dollar at Rs. 19.57 for buying and Rs. 19.65 for selling. The Kuwaiti Dinar has been fixed at Rs. 500.24 for buying and Rs. 502.20 for selling. Likewise, the Bahraini Dinar stands at Rs. 406.34 for buying and Rs. 407.93 for selling, while the Omani Riyal has been set at Rs. 398.05 for buying and Rs. 399.61 for selling.
For Indian currency, the buying rate for INR 100 has been fixed at Rs. 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs. 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that the rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website, Nepal Rastra Bank.
