KATHMANDU: Nepali youths who have long been waiting for Israel employment opportunities protested at Maitighar Mandala on Tuesday, demanding clarity over delayed recruitment and protection of their previous applications.

The Department of Foreign Employment has indicated that a new process may begin soon, but no official decision has been announced, leaving thousands of applicants in uncertainty.

The affected candidates, who were not selected in the 2024 lottery, say they were earlier assured they would be included in the next quota.

They argue that restarting the process through a new lottery would be unfair after years of waiting and preparation.

They have urged the government to reserve a separate quota for earlier applicants and issue an immediate clear decision.
