SURKHET: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) member Lily Thapa has warned that she will release a report related to Gen Z protests of September 8 and 9 herself if the commission delays its publication.

Speaking in Surkhet, she said the report has already been submitted to the NHRC chair and is now in the process of approval and recommendation drafting.

She said the delay was caused by the late submission of the Nepali Army’s statement, which had to be verified and analyzed after the investigation committee was dissolved.

Thapa said the report is about 10,000 pages long and includes detailed analysis, stakeholder statements, and policy recommendations.

She expressed confidence it would be released within 8–10 days, warning she would make it public herself if not.
