KATHMANDU: A new hall for the House of Representatives inside the under-construction Parliament building at Singha Durbar has reached the final stage of construction.

Preparations are underway to deliver the upcoming budget speech on May 29 from the new assembly hall.

According to the construction team, installation of the sound system, cameras, lighting, and seating arrangements is currently in progress inside the hall.

Although the project has faced repeated deadline extensions and delays, construction work is now being accelerated with a focus on completing it before May 29.

As the new building is not yet fully completed, House of Representatives meetings are currently being conducted from a temporary hall. Once the new assembly hall is ready, regular parliamentary sessions are expected to be held there.
