KATHMANDU: The National Sports Council (NSC) has recalled Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) member and spokesperson Chhumbi Lama.
On Monday (May 25), the NSC sent a letter to spokesperson Lama informing him that he has been recalled. CAN has also been instructed to implement this decision and report back with the information.
Chapter 2, Section 3, Subsection (4) of the statute of the Cricket Association of Nepal provides for the nomination of ex-officio members to the association by the NSC.
Under this provision, the NSC had nominated Lama in April 2024. However, he has been recalled within just two years.
The new executive committee of CAN had given Lama the responsibility of spokesperson.
Lama had also become a member in the previous executive committee through the recommendation of the NSC.
