KATHMANDU: The Rajaiya area of Makawanpur district recorded the highest rainfall in the country over the past three hours, measuring 32 millimeters, according to the latest meteorological data.

Meteorological Forecasting Division reported light to moderate rainfall in several locations across Sudurpashchim, Lumbini, Karnali, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces, indicating active monsoon conditions in multiple parts of the country.

Officials said the rain-bearing system is gradually moving westward, increasing the likelihood of continued rainfall in western Nepal over the coming hours.

Residents in vulnerable and low-lying areas have been urged to remain cautious due to the potential risk of rising water levels and localized flooding.
