Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal to visit India tomorrow

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal is scheduled to pay an official three-day visit to India starting tomorrow.

According to a press release issued today by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Khanal is undertaking the visit at the cordial invitation of India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar.

During his stay in New Delhi, Minister Khanal will hold a formal bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart, Dr. Jaishankar. The two leaders are expected to discuss a wide range of matters of mutual interest, aimed at boosting cooperation in key sectors including trade, investment, connectivity, energy, and strengthening people-to-people ties.

“As part of the regular exchange of high-level visits, this visit will further consolidate the enduring and multifaceted bilateral relations between Nepal and India,” the Ministry stated in its press release.

Foreign Minister Khanal is scheduled to conclude his official visit and return to Kathmandu on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
