KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the mixed impact of a western low-pressure trough and local winds.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has issued a dual alert for today: a moderate heatwave will grip the southern Terai plains—particularly in Madhesh and Lumbini provinces—while scattered thunderstorms with light to moderate rain are forecast for the country’s hilly and mountainous regions.
Cloudy skies will persist into the night, bringing isolated light showers across Koshi Province and sections of the central and western hills.
