VP Yadav, Koshi Chief Khapung hold talks on strengthening federalism

KATHMANDU: Koshi Province Chief Parshuram Khapung paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav today at the Vice President’s Office in Lainchaur, Kathmandu.

According to the Vice President’s Office, the two leaders held extensive discussions on constitutional responsibilities, strengthening federalism, ensuring smooth coordination between the federal and provincial levels, and fostering mutual cooperation.

Welcoming Province Chief Khapung, Vice President Yadav emphasized the vital need to further reinforce ties between the federal and provincial governments to ensure the successful implementation of the federal democratic republican system.

In response, Province Chief Khapung reiterated the province-level commitment to the institutionalization of federalism. He also briefed the Vice President on the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to uphold national unity, promote inclusiveness, and work in alignment with the true spirit of the Constitution.
