SIMKOT: A 15-year-old girl died after being struck by a falling rock along the Karnali Corridor road in Sarkegad Rural Municipality.

Police identified the victim as Pabitra Saud of Gairisaya in Ward 4. She was grazing cattle in a nearby forest Friday morning when a rock dislodged from the cliffside and hit her around 10:30 AM, killing her instantly.

A local police team reached the site shortly after the incident, followed by another unit from the district headquarters for investigation and legal procedures.
