KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday was suspended for 15 minutes after opposition lawmakers protested the absence of Prime Minister Balendra Shah and seven ministers.

Opposition MPs argued that the Prime Minister and concerned ministers were required to be present during the discussion and objected to the House proceeding without them.

Following the protest, the Speaker suspended the meeting for 15 minutes before resuming proceedings.
