JHAPA: Birtamod Municipality has distributed chaff cutters to 30 farmers and cow mats to 65 farmers under a 50 percent subsidy scheme aimed at modernizing livestock farming.

The equipment was handed over by Mayor Pabitra Mahatara Prasai and Deputy Mayor Nagendra Prasad Sangraula through the municipality’s Livestock and Fisheries Development Branch.

According to branch, beneficiaries were selected following a technical assessment of their livestock sheds, farming activities and actual needs.
