Nepali Army launches NCC training for students in Jumla

JUMLA: The Nepali Army has launched a National Cadet Corps (NCC) Junior Division training program for students of Kanakasundari Secondary School in Kanakasundari Rural Municipality-5, Jumla.

The 100-day training, being conducted by the Devidatta Battalion, began on June 15 and aims to instill discipline, leadership, patriotism and a sense of responsibility among students.

Under the program, 79 days of training will be conducted in Jumla, while the remaining 21 days will take place in Nepalgunj. The curriculum includes lessons on leadership development, accountability, honesty, loyalty and teamwork.

According to the Nepali Army, the training also covers disaster management, sanitation, environmental conservation and other social issues to help students develop practical life skills and civic awareness.

School authorities believe the program will help nurture disciplined and responsible youths committed to national service and environmental protection.

The Nepali Army has stated that similar NCC training programs will be conducted in schools across the country as part of efforts to promote character building, leadership and national awareness among students.
