KATHMANDU: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has finalized the tentative agenda for Friday’s upcoming meeting of the House of Representatives.
According to the official schedule signed by General Secretary Padma Prasad Pandey, the legislative session is scheduled to commence at 1:00 PM.
The meeting will primarily focus on the tabling of crucial national amendment bills and the presentation of the highest financial audit report of the country.
On behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, the Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, will formally present the “Sixty-Third Annual Report of the Auditor General, 2026” to the lower house.
Following this, Law Minister Gautam is scheduled to seek permission from the floor to introduce and formally table the “Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2026.”
The legislative session will also see significant policy introductions from other key ministries.
Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle is slated to present the highly anticipated “Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Bill, 2026.”
Additionally, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs, and General Administration, Pratibha Rawal, will table the “Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2026,” while Minister for Health and Food Hygiene, Nisha Mehta, will introduce the “Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Health Science Academies, 2026.”
Finally, the House will pivot to crucial fiscal matters to wrap up budget proceedings.
Finance Minister Wagle is scheduled to present the received amendments to the “Financial Bill, 2026” for a formal decision and move a motion before the assembly requesting that the budget-related bill be officially passed.
