JANAKPUR: Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Amresh Kumar Singh has sharply criticized the policy proposal passed during the ongoing first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), issuing a stern warning that any interference with democracy, federalism, and inclusivity is completely unacceptable.
The lawmaker, who recently aligned with the RSP just before March 5 polls, chose to skip the party’s historic convention in Chitwan.
Staying back in Janakpur, Singh took to social media to caution that the Nepali public would fiercely resist any political attempts to tamper with the country’s democratic framework and federal governance system.
“Speaking once again from Janakpurdham, the sacred land of Goddess Sita, I must declare that if anyone tries to mess with Nepal’s democracy, federalism, and inclusivity, the people of Nepal will launch a powerful resistance,” Singh stated.
He emphasized that the primary aspirations of the Nepali public are good governance and economic prosperity, urging political parties and elected representatives to stay focused on these core issues rather than altering governance structures.
