KATHMANDU: In an unconventional move, the Minister for Science, Technology, and Innovation, Mahabir Pun, has taken to social media to search for a highly qualified and capable Secretary to lead the administrative wing of his ministry.

Through a social media post, Minister Pun highlighted the need for an industrious, action-oriented Secretary who possesses extensive experience specifically in the fields of science, technology, research, and innovation.

According to the Minister, the vacancy arises as the tenure of the ministry’s current Secretary is set to end this coming Wednesday, July 1.

Pun shared that the search for a competent leader is actively underway through various channels, and he has openly appealed to the public for recommendations and assistance.

“The tenure of the Secretary of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation is ending, and they will retire this Wednesday, July 1,” Minister Pun wrote. “Therefore, this ministry requires a Secretary who is highly experienced, diligent, performance-driven, and has a proven track record in science, technology, research, and innovation. We are searching for qualified candidates through various channels and welcome your support in this endeavor.”
