KATHMANDU: The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has announced that it will halt the license renewal of manpower companies that fail to resolve pending worker complaints.
Unresolved agencies will be barred from sending migrant workers abroad starting July 17.
To institutionalize stricter welfare and compensation measures, DoFE will enforce a penalty of Rs 50,000 per individual against agencies found overcharging workers.
Furthermore, agencies have been instructed to conduct monitoring of their deployed workers every three months to ensure compliance with employment contracts.
