PYUTHAN: Min Raj Rana Magar, the Deputy Mayor of Swargadwari Municipality in Pyuthan, has passed away in a vehicular accident.

The 50-year-old Deputy Mayor was driving the government vehicle (Lu Pra 1/001 Jha 0008) himself when it went out of control and crashed, killing him on the spot.

According to Police Inspector Sujan Babu Bishwakarma, Information Officer at the District Police Office Pyuthan, the accident occurred at Bangesalla in Swargadwari Municipality-2 while the vehicle was heading toward Dhanwang from Swargadwari.

The vehicle reportedly plunged approximately 500 meters down from the road.

A five-member police team led by Inspector Bishwakarma has reached the crash site, and a formal investigation into the incident is currently underway.
