KATHMANDU: At least seven people were killed and 105 others injured in separate road traffic accidents across Nepal within 24 hours, according to Nepal Police data released today. The incidents highlight ongoing road safety concerns across the country.
Madhesh Province recorded the highest fatalities with four deaths and 35 injuries. Koshi Province reported one death and 31 injuries. Bagmati and Gandaki provinces each reported one death, with Bagmati recording no injuries and Gandaki reporting none. In Kathmandu Valley, no deaths were reported, but 18 people were injured. Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and Lumbini provinces also reported multiple injuries without fatalities.
