Special Court extends Bishnu Paudel’s judicial custody by three days

KATHMANDU: Former Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel will remain in judicial custody for an additional three days after the Special Court extended his remand in connection with an asset laundering investigation.

Paudel, who was arrested during the ongoing investigation, was produced before the court on Monday for a remand extension. A joint bench of Judges Narayan Prasad Paudel, Hemanta Rawal, and Umesh Koirala granted the request, allowing investigators to keep him in judicial custody for three more days.

According to the court order, Paudel has been sent to judicial custody in accordance with the joint bench’s decision as the investigation continues.
