KATHMANDU: Singer Bidhan Shrestha received a standing ovation after performing nearly 18 songs at Nepalaya’s Paleti music series, marking his return to the monthly concert after a nine-year gap. The performance was held at r-sala in Kalikasthan.

Shrestha’s set featured songs largely written and composed by his father, Bijay Shrestha, along with romantic, folk, and patriotic numbers, including Ma Pattharko Devata Hoina, Ti Ramaila Yaad, Ekata Nai Bal Ho, and Machhi Marna Jaun Na Dajai Kalapanima, which concluded the program.

Organizers said veteran artist Madan Krishna Shrestha and his son, Yaman Shrestha, will headline the next edition of the 21-year-old Paleti series.
