KANCHANPUR: A 50-year-old journalist from Kanchanpur, Khem Bhandari, has been presented before Kanchanpur District Court to execute his prison sentence.

The arrest follows rulings by the Kanchanpur District Court and the Dipayal High Court (Mahendranagar Bench) in a defamation case filed against him by Kiran Bista.

In total, Bhandari has been sentenced to one month and seven days in prison, along with fines totaling Rs 12,100, and he is ordered to pay Rs 100,000 in compensation to the complainant.
