KATHMANDU: A total of 91,363 foreign tourists visited Nepal via air routes in June 2026, marking a 19.5% increase compared to the same month last year and a 22.01% rise from pre-pandemic 2019 data.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, South Asian countries contributed the largest share at 52.8%, with India alone leading at 41,809 visitors, followed by notable arrivals from the United States (11,836) and China (9,995).
Officials attribute this steady growth to expanded international flight connectivity, targeted promotional campaigns, and Nepal’s strengthening image as a safe, appealing destination.
