KATHMANDU: The RSP-led government, under Prime Minister Balen Shah, will release its 100-day progress report tomorrow, Saturday.
According to the PM’s Secretariat, the milestones emphasize aggressive anti-corruption and governance reforms, including asset probes of high-ranking officials since 1991, revoking nearly 1,600 political appointments, dissolving employee and student unions, and reclaiming public lands.
However, the administration faces heavy criticism for its polarizing tactics.
Key pushback centers on the eviction of landless settlers without housing alternatives, the harassment of local businesses, and alleged political retaliation against the opposition.
Critics also point to rising inflation, new education taxes, and a lack of support for the working class as major failures.
