Three parliamentary committees, including Public Accounts Committee, to meet today

KATHMANDU: Three committees under the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today.

The Public Accounts Committee; the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee; and the International Relations and Tourism Committee will be holding their respective meetings.

The meeting of the Public Accounts Committee will begin at 9:00 AM at Singha Durbar.

The agenda includes the endorsement of the committee’s internal operating procedures and discussions on forming a subcommittee to look into unsettled accounts .

Similarly, the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee meeting is also scheduled for 9:00 AM at Singha Durbar.

The committee will discuss the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2024.

The Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation; the Secretary of the Ministry; the Secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs; and the Executive Director of the National Forensic Science Laboratory have been invited to attend.

Meanwhile, the International Relations and Tourism Committee will meet at 9:30 AM.

The agenda involves briefing the committee on the Foreign Minister’s recent visits to India and China, alongside other contemporary issues.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Ministry’s Secretary have been invited to the meeting.
