KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has finalized the guilt verification for the individuals implicated in the high-profile fake Bhutanese refugee scam.

The bench of Judge Tej Bahadur Khadka categorized the convicts based on primary execution, treason, and secondary aiding (accomplice roles), while completely clearing seven individuals of all charges.

Convicted of integrated offenses: Organized crime & crimes against the state

The court found the following high-profile politicians, officials, and core ringleaders guilty under the most severe categories, treating their actions as integrated offenses that deeply harmed Nepal’s national image:

Top Bahadur Rayamajhi (former deputy Prime Minister)

Tek Narayan Pandey (former Home Secretary)

Dr. Indrajit Rai (Security advisor to the former Home Minister)

Keshav Prasad Dulal (core racketeer)

Sanu Bhandari (core racketeer)

Sandesh Sharma (core racketeer)

Ang Tawa Sherpa (former lawmaker)

Govinda Kumar Chaudhary (alias Bikram)
