NEPALGUNJ: A Nepali Army helicopter successfully transferred six critically injured individuals to Nepalgunj on Sunday morning following a fatal jeep crash in Kedarsyu Rural Municipality-7, Bajhang.
The rescue operation faced initial delays on Saturday when adverse weather forced the helicopter to land at the district headquarters in Chainpur instead of the crash site.
Because of the delay, the victims were first rushed by ambulance to Bajhang District Hospital overnight, but local medical staff quickly referred them to a specialized facility due to the severity of their injuries.
The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon when a jeep traveling from Bungal Municipality to Durgathali Rural Municipality went off the road, killing three people on the spot and leaving thirteen others injured.
