KATHMANDU: Nepal’s new budget of Rs 2.12 trillion for the fiscal year 2026/27 has officially gone into effect starting today, Friday.
Presented earlier on May 29 by Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, the budget allocates 59.8% (Rs 1,270.58 billion) to recurrent expenditure, 20.3% (Rs 431.10 billion) to capital expenditure, and 19.9% (Rs 422.24 billion) to financial management.
