Two persons were arrested on charge of stealing cash from Sombare in Ratuwamai Municipality-10.

The arrested have been identified as Gyan Bahadur Poudel (30) and Bikash Bajagain, both local residents of Urlabari Municipality-9 in Morang district. They allegedly stole Rs 230,800 from Sambriddhi Multipurpose Cooperative Finance on Monday night.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Sijuwa-based Area Police Office nabbed them. The police also seized the cash hidden in Poudel’s shed.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
