NEPSE rises by 7.25 points with Rs 6.671 billion turnover

KATHMANDU: On the second trading day of the week today (Tuesday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased by a single digit. Remaining volatile throughout the day, NEPSE finally closed up by 7.25 points. The trading amount of NEPSE also increased compared to the previous day.

NEPSE had increased by 41.70 points on Monday. Increasing by 0.26 percent today compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE stopped at 2726.49 points.

On today’s day, the Sensitive Index, however, decreased by 0.18 points and stopped at 472.42 points. On a percentage basis, this is 0.03 percent less compared to the previous trading day. Similarly, the float index increased by 0.10 percent, while the sensitive float index remained stable.

In the stock market on Tuesday, at least 14,924,302 units of shares were bought and sold in 75,010 transactions of 343 companies. According to this, a trading of Rs 6.671 billion occurred on Tuesday. On Monday, however, a trading of Rs 5.512 billion had occurred.

On NEPSE today, the share prices of 103 companies increased. While the share prices of 162 companies went down, the share prices of 12 companies remained stable. On NEPSE today (Tuesday), among 13 groups traded, the index of five groups increased, while the indices of eight groups went down.

According to this, on NEPSE on Tuesday, while the index of the Commercial Bank group increased by 0.09 percent, Development Bank decreased by 0.40 percent, Finance by 0.62 percent, Hotel and Tourism by 0.23 percent, and the index of the Hydropower group by 0.05 percent.

Similarly, while the index of the investment group increased by 0.49 percent, the index of the life insurance group went down by 0.17 percent.

While the index of the Manufacturing and Processing group increased by 0.64 percent, Microfinance decreased by 0.02 percent, Mutual Funds by 0.71 percent, and the index of the Non-Life Insurance group by 0.14 percent.

Likewise, the sub-indices of Others and Trading groups increased by 1.20 percent and 2.88 percent, respectively.

On NEPSE on Tuesday, investors of Everest Color Limited made an income of 14.98 percent. Similarly, investors of debentures of Nabil Bank lost 7.44 percent of share price.

On the basis of the trading amount today, Ridi Power Company remained in the leading position. On Tuesday, a trading of Rs 557.7 million of it occurred.

Similarly, on the basis of traded share quantity today, Ridi remained ahead. On Tuesday, at least 1,497,165 units of its shares were traded. Its final trading price today remained maintained at Rs 379 per unit.
