NEPSE climbs 14.17 points on Rs 4.67 billion turnover

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 14.17 points to settle at 2,726.72 points. In Thursday’s stock market, prices of 149 companies advanced, 115 companies declined, while 12 companies remained unchanged.

Although most subgroup indices advanced on Thursday, turnover amount decreased slightly. Compared to turnover of Rs 5.18 billion on Wednesday, shares worth Rs 4.67 billion were traded on Thursday. Among the companies traded on Thursday, Reliance Spinning Mills, Ankhukhola Jalvidhyut, Ridi Power, Solu Hydropower, and NRN Infrastructure were ahead.

Trading advanced the most by 2.58 percent. Similarly, Banking rose by 0.38 percent, Development Bank by 0.74 percent, Finance by 0.27 percent, Hotel and Tourism by 0.99 percent, Hydropower by 1.12 percent, Life Insurance by 0.29 percent, Manufacturing and Processing by 0.31 percent, Microfinance by 0.13 percent, and Non-Life Insurance by 0.64 percent. Others declined by 0.08 percent and Investment declined by 0.42 percent. Meanwhile, the price of Everest Color Company jumped 15 percent.

Additionally, Snow Rivers rose by 13.71 percent, Apollo Hydropower by 9.25 percent, Hotel Forest Inn by 7.51 percent, and Sopan Pharmaceuticals by 7.47 percent. The price of Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower dropped 15 percent. Similarly, Bungal Hydropower dropped 9.93 percent, and Reliance Spinning Mills dropped 4.48 percent.
