KATHMANDU: Speaking at the 225th birth anniversary of National Hero Bhimsen Thapa on Friday, President Ram Chandra Paudel urged Nepalis to honor their ancestors by uniting against corruption and building a prosperous nation.

Highlighting Thapa’s courage and modernizing reforms during Anglo-Nepal conflicts, Paudel emphasized that learning from history is key to shaping the nation’s future.

Border expert Buddhi Narayan Shrestha was also honored during the event.
