Eight local levels including two municipalities in Khotang district on Thursday unveiled their policy and programmes for the fiscal year 2021/022. Barahapokhari and Kepilasgadhi rural municipalities are yet to bring their policy and programmes.

Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality in the district presented the budget of Rs 850.8 million, which is the biggest in size among all other local levels.

The municipality has focused its budget for quality education and access to quality health care.

Likewise, Halesi Tuwachung Municipality brought the budget of Rs 581.6 million. The municipality has announced to provide fellowship to the PhD scholars.

The rural municipalities have accorded priorities for agriculture, tourism and employment generation.
