Police in Bardiya district rescued an Indian woman safely from Bhada River in Gulariya Municipality-8 on Thursday afternoon.

The name of the 40-year-old woman, a local resident of Motipur, India, who jumped into the river has not been disclosed. She was taken to Gulariya-based Bardiya District Hospital for treatment.

District Police Office, Bardiya, informed that the woman was handed over to her husband after some questioning in coordination with Motipur Panchayat-based Baharaich Police Office.
