All the passengers of domestic flights have been evacuated from the main gate of the Tribhuvan International Airport after receiving a call from an unknown person that there was a suspicious object in the premises.

International flights continue but domestic flights are closed. At present, a team including the Nepal Army, the Armed Forces and the Nepal Police is conducting a search operation.

An official at the Tribhuvan Airport said, “An unidentified person called this morning and said that there were 5, 6 bombs in the domestic terminal. We have evacuated all the passengers and continued the search operation. If such a call comes from somewhere in our system, we have to do a thorough search.”
