ISRAEL: Under the bilateral labor agreement between Nepal and Israel, applications have been opened for 2,300 Nepali auxiliary workers to work in Israel’s long-term care centers.

The recruitment quota is split into 60% female and 40% male candidates, offering a monthly salary of 6,443.85 Israeli Shekels (approximately Rs 347,000), alongside benefits like overtime, annual leave, food, and accommodation.

While the initial contract is for one year, it can be extended up to five years.

Notably, there is a discrepancy regarding costs.

The 2021 government directive states that workers must cover their own employment expenses if the employer does not, whereas the original 2020 bilateral agreement specifies that employers are responsible for airfare, insurance, medical tests, and welfare fund fees.
