KATHMANDU: On the third trading day of the week, today (Tuesday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased by 13.51 points. Increasing by 0.48 percent compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE stopped at the 2812.34 mark.
NEPSE had increased by 4.45 points on Sunday, while it had decreased by 26.07 points on Monday. On today’s day, the Sensitive Index also increased by 2.14 points and stopped at the 482.56 mark. Based on percentage, this is 0.44 percent less compared to the previous day.
In the stock market on Tuesday, 34,852,760 units of shares were bought and sold through 106,140 transactions of 340 companies. Accordingly, a turnover of Rs 12.03 billion occurred on Tuesday. On Sunday, however, a turnover of Rs 14.329 billion had occurred. On Monday, a turnover of Rs 11.974 billion had occurred.
The share prices of 132 companies increased in the stock market today. While the share prices of 113 companies moved downward, the share prices of 17 companies remained stable. Out of the 13 groups traded in NEPSE on Tuesday, the sub-indices of six groups increased. The sub-indices of the remaining seven groups, however, decreased.

Accordingly, the index of the Commercial Bank group increased by 0.48 percent and the Development Bank by 0.64 percent. Finance decreased by 0.19 and Hotel and Tourism by 0.17 percent. Similarly, hydropower increased by 1.59, and the investment group by 0.61 percent.
While the sub-index of the Life Insurance group moved downward by 0.31 percent, the Manufacturing and Processing group moved upward by 0.29 percent.
Similarly, while the microfinance group decreased by 0.26 percent, mutual funds increased by 0.36 percent. In NEPSE on Tuesday, the indices for Non-Life Insurance decreased by 0.03, Others by 0.10, and the Trading group by 0.21 percent.
A positive circuit was hit in the share prices of Reliance Spinning Mills and Solu Hydropower in NEPSE on Tuesday. That is, the investors of these, Reliance and Solu, earned 10 percent.
Similarly, the investors of NIC Asia Growth Fund suffered a loss of 4.74 percent.
Based on the turnover amount, the highest turnover today was of Ridi Power Company Limited at Rs 563.7 million. Likewise, based on the number of shares traded, the highest number of shares of Shivashree Hydropower Company were bought and sold at 1,923,074 units. Its final trading price, however, remained at Rs 238 per share.
