KATHMANDU: Mahanagar Yatayat Pvt. Ltd. has added 16 new Chinese-made electric buses, handed over by Shasheela Motors in Kathmandu.

The 33-seater buses feature a spacious design for standing commuters and are equipped with 144 kW CATL batteries, offering a 200 km range on a single charge.

Company Secretary Keshav Nepal emphasized that electric vehicles are the future, noting plans for further expansion.

With this addition, Mahanagar Yatayat now operates 52 electric vehicles, including 28 city buses and 24 micro-buses.
