KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) staged a street demonstration in the capital today, expressing strong objection to remarks attributed to Prime Minister Balendra Shah regarding Nepal–India border issues.

Organized by the UML Kathmandu District Committee, the protest was held at Maitighar Mandala, where participants chanted slogans demanding an apology and resignation, including calls branding the statement as harmful to national interest.

The party has accused the Prime Minister of making inappropriate remarks from the federal parliament and demanded that he withdraw his statement and apologize to both the House and the public.
