KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police has launched an investigation into the Dairy Development Corporation (DDC).
A team from the bureau visited the DDC central office in Lainchaur on Wednesday and took control of several documents.
Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shiva Kumar Shrestha, spokesperson for the CIB, confirmed that documents related to the purchase and sale of dairy products were seized during the operation.
“Our team gathered these details because certain matters regarding the DDC require investigation,” Shrestha said. “As this is a preliminary investigation, further details will be made public later.”
DDC is a state-owned dairy enterprise in Nepal. It is responsible for collecting, processing, and distributing milk, as well as manufacturing dairy products across the country.
The corporation operates with the objective of purchasing milk from farmers and delivering safe, high-quality dairy products to consumers.
