KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 15 people from various parts of the country on charges related to drug possession during routine patrol operations.

According to the Central Police News Section, the arrests were made from Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Rupandehi, Siraha, Chitwan, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba), Kailali, Sunsari, and Surkhet.

Authorities recovered controlled pharmaceuticals that require a doctor’s prescription, including Norphin, Phenergan, Spaspen, Tramadol, IPPL, and Diazepam, along with brown heroin and cannabis from their possession.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
