KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have arrested two men in Kathmandu after recovering illegal firearms-related items during a security check at a guest house in Gongabu, Tokha.

The suspects, Khagendra Sharma (27) and Om Shankar Gupta (22), both from Rajbiraj-13, Saptari, were detained at the Kabeli Guest House near Shiv Mandir. Police seized 45 rounds of live ammunition, one Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) magazine, and a pair of brass knuckles.

According to the Kathmandu District Police, the arrest was made during a targeted inspection on May 23.

Both individuals are in custody as investigations continue to trace the source and purpose of the seized items and possible links to a wider illegal arms network.
