Nepali Army participates in inaugural multinational military exercise ‘Ex Pragati’ in India

KATHMANDU: A 38-member contingent of the Nepali Army participated in the first edition of the Multinational Neighbourhood Military Field Training Exercise, ‘Ex Pragati’, conducted by the Indian Army at FTN, Umroi from May 18 to May 31.

The exercise involved the participation of eleven foreign countries, aiming to develop collective capabilities and enhance operational synergy and mutual trust among the participating nations.

A three-member observer delegation from Nepal, led by Lt Gen Pradeep Jung KC, Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS) of the Nepali Army, attended the Validation Phase and Closing Ceremony of the exercise from May 28 to May 31, at Umroi.

The engagement serves to maintain the military-to-military connection and defence partnership between India and Nepal.
