KATHMANDU: US President Donald Trump’s special envoy for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor, has arrived in Nepal.

Gor, who also serves as the US Ambassador to India, landed in Kathmandu on Thursday evening along with a six-member delegation.

He arrived from New Delhi via a flight of Nepal Airlines.

His visit is seen as a sign that the United States is giving priority to its relationship with Nepal.

During his three-day stay, he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Balen Shah, Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, and Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, among others.
