CHITWAN: Continuous heavy rainfall has triggered multiple landslides and falling boulders, particularly around the Tuin Khola area, completely blocking the Narayangadh-Muglin road section in both directions.

In response to the high risk, the District Administration Office, Chitwan, issued a notice on Monday suspending all vehicular movement along the highway until further notice.

Authorities have advised travelers from the Kathmandu Valley to avoid leaving, while those heading toward the capital from western regions like Rupandehi and Nawalparasi are urged to halt before reaching Chitwan.

As ongoing rain is severely hindering clearance efforts, the administration has advised stranded passengers to carry essential supplies—such as drinking water, dry food, first-aid kits, extra clothing, and mobile chargers.

For emergency assistance, the public can reach out to the Nepal Police (100), Armed Police Force (1144), District Emergency Center (1234), or the District Police Office, Chitwan.
