KATHMANDU: Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, has inspected a government building located in Nagarjun Municipality–1 that is being prepared to provide temporary housing for squatters.

The government is currently demolishing informal settlements in areas such as Thapathali, Sinamangal, and Manohara in Kathmandu.

As the displaced residents from these locations will be relocated to the government building, cleaning and maintenance work at the site is currently underway. Photo: Nepal Photo Library
