GORKHA: Singla Village, located in ward 5 of Dharche Rural Municipality of northern Gorkha, is situated at an altitude of approximately 2,100 meters above sea level. Home to the Gurung community, Singla consists of more than 200 households.

Located at a walking distance of 2.5 hours from Gupsipakha and Laprak Village, this village falls under the Lower Manaslu Trekking Route. The primary occupations here are agriculture, trekking, and foreign employment.

The entire village, which was turned into ruins by the 2015 earthquake, has gradually begun to rise again.

Although a dirt track has been opened to Singla, a remote village in the Gorkha district, vehicles have not yet been able to reach it; as a result, the locals of that village are forced to walk for hours.

Essential goods, including food items and daily consumables, are transported via mules to Singla from Machha Khola River, Laprak, and Barpak within the district.

From a tourism perspective, this extremely beautiful village offers views of mountain peaks, including Ganesh, Shringi, and Baudha. After an approximately two-hour uphill climb from the village, one reaches the scenic Rukang Hill located at 3,250 meters. In the village, one can enjoy the taste of organic food while observing the lifestyle and culture of the Gurung community.
