KATHMANDU: The newly appointed vice-chancellors of six of Nepal’s health science academies were sworn into office Friday during a ceremony led by Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta.
The appointments include Dr. Vivek Acharya at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Dr. Nabis Man Singh Pradhan at the Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS), Dr. Smriti Karki at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dr. Narayan Singh Gurung at the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, Dr. Suryaman Menyangbo at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), and Dr. Ajay Kumar Mishra at the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences (RAHS).
The Government of Nepal appointed the six officials following recommendations from a selection committee constituted under the Integrated Procedure on the Selection and Recommendation of Vice-Chancellors of Health Science Academies, 2026.
